I am incredibly honored to have been appointed to the Principal position of Willoughby Girls High School.
I come to Willoughby having spent the last four years as Deputy Principal of Gosford High School, and prior to that Deputy Principal at Wyong High School and NBSC Mackellar girls Campus. I am very much looking forward to working with our students, staff and community to continue to provide the very best of opportunities for students both within the classroom and with curriculum enrichment programs across the school.
Both staff and students have been extremely warm in welcoming me to the school. I hope to quickly embrace the culture of this outstanding school and support the many and varied learning opportunities available for our students.
I would like to sincerely thank Mrs Jennifer Watts, Ms Janet Atchison and Mrs Tania Prowle for their leadership of the school during Term 1. I plan to continue to build on the foundations put forward by the Leadership Team of Willoughby Girls High School.
This term we have a number of new staff, who I know will be as warmly welcomed to the school as I have:
* Mr Ranald Leung, Mathematics teacher (replacing Mr Ismail)
* Ms Chloe Cheval, Technical & Applied Sciences Teacher
* Ms Angela Kaczmarczyk, History Teacher (replacing Ms Anastasie Velevski who is on maternity leave)
* Ms Helen Soar, Mathematics Teacher (replacing Mr Philip Lamp for 2022)
* Mr Tim Donohue, Technical & Applied Sciences Assistant (replacing Ms Hannah Burton for 2022)
Also, thank you to Ms Rana Morris who will be the Relieving Head Teacher, Wellbeing until a new Head Teacher is appointed.
I look forward to continuing the legacy of Willoughby Girls where teachers, students and parents work together to foster an educational culture of engagement, effort and academic excellence.
