General Information for Netball in 2024
Netball for Girls in Years 7 – 9
We welcome players of all levels, including brand new players.
All junior players will need to attend grading sessions as per dates below. Further information will be provided following registration.
Our teams are formed to ensure an even spread of court positions and similar capabilities of all players in that team.
Netball for Girls in Years 10 – 12
Can play Cadets/Inters or Seniors, competitive or social, with WGHS Netball Club.
Teams are formed by the PLAYERS, and the committee submits teams in grades according to previous player history.
Please commence recruitment now so you are able to submit a full team of 8-11 players in early 2024.
Each team MUST nominate a Team Captain (player) and a Team Manager (parent) and a minimum of 8 players or we cannot submit your team.
Note: Inters/Senior games may be played at any time from 12.45pm through to 4.15pm.
All games are on Saturdays at Willoughby Leisure Centre.
Non students and x-students are welcome to join our netball club and play netball with friends and peers, and can chose if they wish to train or not.
Students may also like to learn to coach or umpire – please register your interest by emailing: wghsnetball@gmail.com
The Club is also currently seeking volunteers to assist in a variety of roles. Please contact wghsnetball@gmail.com for more information.

- Year 7 Grading Session - 8am – 11:30am

- Year 8 Grading Session – 4pm – 6pm
Sunday 18th February
- Year 7 Grading Session - 8am – 10:30am
- Year 9 Grading Session – 10:30am – 12pm
Wednesday 21st February
- Year 8 Grading Session – 4pm – 6pm
Sunday 25th February
- Wet Weather back up grading day for all year groups
Friday 1st March - Winter comp registrations closed & teams announced
Wednesday 20th March - Coaches Meeting 4pm – 5:30pm
Wednesday 27th March - Pre-season training session – players & coaches
Wednesday 3 April - Training Session 1
Saturday 6 April - Round 1 Games
Wednesday 10 April - Training Session 2
Saturday 13 April - Round 2 Games
Monday 15 to Monday 29 April – School Holidays
Saturday 4 May – Round 3 games – through to end of season .
